OMG, i just noticed Lt Prince and Capt Parker are in the Hockey team too!!

So they are! If it's OK with you mate, once you have posted up all the names you have, I'll make a copy of the photo and put the names on as in the Officers pic.

    Best regards.........:)

 0/10 for observation on my part! I never even looked at the picture again, assuming it was the same as the first one you posted! In my defence, I have been awake now for 25hrs! That's what night shifts do to you!!
Even though the original pic has the names at the bottom, would you mind if I made my own copy with the names as they are in the Officers photo?

    All the best.........:)

OK, I've cropped the original pic and stuck the names on. I also ran all the names through my (very incomplete! :D) database and I got a couple of very close hits.
On page 53 of the book "The Tenth" there is a Sgt "Paddy" Morahan of D Coy, 10 Para (see pic) and in the same book on page 441 a Sgt H. Haddrell of B Coy, 10 Para is mentioned (no pic unfortunately).

That looks like a very early 10 Para pic, is it me or have they still got their Royal Sussex Regt head dress on?

You're right Steve. The pic was taken in Feb 1943 so it is early enough I think.

:lol: Pvt T. McEwan is listed as No.18 Platoon, D Coy, 10 Para (formerly of the Royal Scots Greys) in the book. He escaped across the Rhine on Op. Berlin. Pages 12,61,78 and 79 refer to him :p...........

In my grandfathers discharge book it says 23 Sep 44 - At sea, so i presume he wasn't on the jump but on the seaborne tail. Does any one have any information on the seaborne tail?

Yes there was a 2nd Seaborne tail, I must have it somewhere but not at the hand at the moment, there is a War Diary of the Seaborne tail section at Kew.
