No. Not "speciailly" but as to unit and formation etc
This took place at Luckenwalde in Aug 41 by ordinary questionning.


4. ESCAPES attempted:
Did yo make any attempted or partly successful escapes? (Give details of each attempt accurately, stating where, when, method employed, names of your companions, wherein when recaptured and by whom. Were you physically fit? What happened to your companions?)
Yes. From Schwann? (20 kilos W of Torgau) on 17th April 45. Sgmn. NEVILL, Gnr. CARR and I escaped from temporary camp but were picked up by ? security police. Fit but weak from hunger. Companions safe.


5. SABOTAGE
Did you do any sabotage or destruction of enemy factory plant, war material, communications, etc, when employed on working-parties or during escape? (Give details, places and dates.)
Did ? sabotage work but unimportant.

8. Have you any other matter of any kind you wish to bring to notice?
Jan 44 - March 45
PAUL THIEME of 40 Adolf Hitler Strasse, M? Bitterfeld, Saxony gave us BBC and "Free German" news in writing every morning. I supplied it to other PsOW in the area. He helped in many ways including supplying of maps, identification software war work, giving of food etc. I know he is known in his village as a Democratic German.

Our employer ERNST THOMAS of Bitterfeld worked our party to a disgraceful extent and caused considerable weakness illness amongst British POWs. He coerced Stalag into saying we had to do 80% of a German civilian's work. Often this took 14 or 15 hours. Our normal hours were 12 hrs-a-day. We had to work during air-raids and while bombs were dropping. No factory alarm was sounded. Also forced to work during heavy rain. Under Officer KNUEPPER helped THOMAS ? hitting us etc. He lives in DELITZ, SAXONY. Countless occasions we have been maltreated and suffered hunger for periods.
The authorities already know of a "?" march from Muhlberg to ?.
