good day dbf, today.my life during ww2 was tre's ordinaire, atlantic convoy escorts and whatever else they had to do.in the pacific a bit diferent, island hoping.troop landings, ect, ect, nothing they would make a film about.to sum up.i was a cog in a big wheel.and proud of it.end of story, nice to talk to you.regards bernard85
My Dad's cousin was MN, did trips Atlantic & Pacific. Dad joined up post war too, met a lot of chaps RN & MN, heard their stories. One master got OBE, postwar his first mate was a German. One MN guy had been POW and was liberated by Dad's regt during war, one RN was on either P of Wales or Repulse when sunk. All cogs have stories, still interesting.
