A very poignant touch - perfect. Brian
Maybe we should get a customized poppy for next year, any artists out there?
Heartwarming. The arrangement makes them look alive, which given the context is a contradiction. Somehow they give out a sense of hope.
Very nice touch Adam. I assume it was intentional that you put up 11 of them.
I never even noticed.
Excellent. Very nice touch!

That message in the image is just the sort of thing I certainly wouldn't 'share'. And in not doing so, I wouldn't be showing respect ... to whoever passed it on to me.

Thank you to all who serve and have served in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Back to normality we go.
I wish we could keep the poppies!
A link to the BBC website for an example of an unusual "poppy".
Why not add one as your avatar ?
That way you can have one all year round.
Thanks Owen. I used to have one but it seemed to get lost some time ago. I've changed computers so I'm not even sure I have the picture but I'll try to find one.
For those of you who missed it on the forum, a very nice thought by Adam and co.
Was travelling on the M25 around 1.45 pm yesterday. What an amazing sight.
"Think bike - Think bikers" signs were showing all along the motorway giving traffic advance warning. This enabled the younger generation of those travelling in the back seats of a car to smile and wave. Being a passenger in the front seat, I have to say I wound down the window and did the same!
All the bikes were travelling at a sensible speed in the nearside lane, dressed in red, many with poppy wreaths on the backs of their bikes, accompanied with smiles and waves from their pillion passengers.
Well done them for their fund raising efforts on Remembrance Sunday for the British Legion.
Well done indeed. I wish I had seen it Lindsay. I'm sure if my son were still alive he would have joined them too even though his biking days were long over!
Thanks Adam for a timely and well placed poppy reminder
The right number, at the right time.
Great to see the resplendent poppies back. Brian
Well remembered Adam.
