Chris - your Grandparents + Mum photo is going very well. PeterG - Can i have it again in colour please? Rog
Rog, I've just emailed a fresh scan to you, many thanks. I'll now delete the scans I posted above. Peter
Thanks Peter, sorry for faffing you around a bit - not intentional. Mike - Wow! Man there is a lot of work here. I can do it but it will take time. Your newest scan confirms the problems that i thought were there. It has a network of dots and blemishes but i'm positive that i can get it back. It will be be a while before you see a result. As to colouring it, i don't want to run before i can walk with it. Some images don't take colour very well so we'll have to wait and see how the restore turns out. Rog
Thought it was going to be a difficult one Rog! Thanks for your attention and if it's taking too long drop me a line, I am happy to pay for your time. If it might help my Cousin could drop the photo in to you - he is close to you.
Rogers work is unsurpassed in my book,he has done a fair few images for me now and the finished products are faultless and amazing in every way.He and his company get a massive thumbs up from me.
Rogers work is unsurpassed in my book, ... amazing in every way.He and his company get a massive thumbs up from me. Hear, hear!
Unsurpassed and amazing indeed. Rog, it's obvious that aside from being incredibly talented, you also seem to very much enjoy doing this. For us, seeing precious and treasured old photos literally being brought to life is simply wonderful.
Thanks Dave, Peter. DoreenC I do enjoy it very much. It's a very relaxing way to spend ones time, and it's a good feeling when the image starts to 'pop'. I was going to email you to ask if those prints made it to you safely? Keep them coming guys...
Rog Have uploaded a real oldie to your site, at least 83 years old. A before & after on this thread would be much appreciated ! Ron
I was going to email you to ask if those prints made it to you safely? I picked them up yesterday. They're in "pristine" condition and looking better than I ever imagined they could. The photo paper is lovely as well. I'm just thrilled. Thanks so much!!
Great Rog how did you manage to do that i thought my eyes were going funny then i refocused and relised it was the picture. Michael.
Ramacal it is! I've just shelled out on a plugin that works wonders with out of focus shots. It doesn't work on every photo but will soon pay for itself going by the result above. I've also got my hands on a prototype that is not commercially available that restores an image from camera shake/motion blur. Here is a sample of it's output For legal reasons i have to add these lines: @article{SCho_deblur_2009, title={Fast Motion Deblurring}, author={Sunghyun Cho and Seuongyong Lee}, journal={ACM Transactions on Graphics (SIGGRAPH ASIA 2009)}, volume={28}, number={5}, pages={article no. 145} }
