    THE KING has beengraciously pleased to ordain and declare that Adam Granville Gordon, Roderic Armyne Gordon, and Douglas Claude Alexander Gordon, the brothers of Douglas Charles Lindsey Gordon, Marquess of Huntly, shall henceforth have hold and enjoy the same title, rank, place, pre-eminence, and precedence as the sons of a Marquess as would have been due to them had their late father, Granville Cecil Douglas Gordon, Esquire, Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Companion of the Distinguished Service Order, Lieutenant-Colonel the Welsh Guards, survived his uncle Charles Gordon, Marquess of Huntly, and had thereby succeeded to the title and dignity of Marquess of Huntly.

    And to command that the said order and declaration be registered in His Majesty's College of Arms and in the Lyon Office in Edinburgh.
