    USUAL METHODS. TUNIS MARCH 26th 1943. FIRST THE GERMAN OFFICER PRETENDED TO KNOW EVERYTHING. THIS FAILING HE ADOPTED A THREATENING ATTITUDE.

    ESCAPED FROM 53 CAMP ITALY ON ITALIAN CAPITULATION. WALKED OUT OF CAMP DURING THE TIME SENTRIES DESERTED AND GERMAN OCCUPATION. CORPORAL DENNIS, HERTS AND BEDS REG. PHYSICALLY FIT. RECAPTURED ABOUT 40 KILOMETERS SOUTH OF CHIETI BY GERMAN TROOPS. CORPORAL DENNIS PARTED FROM ME IN GERMANY.
