I do not but if it helps, I am currently reading The Mirror of Monte Cavallara by Ray Ward who was a young officer in 1 A&SH during their time in N Africa and Italy. It is a really good explanation of what the Battalion got up to.

The alternative is a history of the Battalion during the war by Freddie Graham who was the Commanding Officer from 1944 onwards. It is terrific.

I am a battlefield guide for Monte Cassino so have lots of information and maps of 1 A&SH's time at the Fourth Battle in May 44. They were part of 19 Infantry Brigade, 8 Indian Division. If that helps, you are welcome to that info.

    Regards

    Frank

    J,

At The National Archives - but a service of copying can be provided via this web site.

Service with the 5th Division in Sicily and with 8th Indian Division on the mainland should be in these.

    Jan 1943 to Dec 1943:
1 Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise's) | The National Archives

    Jan 1944:
1 Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise's) | The National Archives

    Feb 1944 to Dec 1944:
1 Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise's) | The National Archives

    Jan 1945 to June 1945:
1 Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise's) | The National Archives

    best wishes

Edit. Frank as mentioned this book.

Benny, please see attachment. Its the Appendix 'A' taken from, HISTORY OF THE FIRST DIVISION FLORENCE TO MONTE GRANDE..
August 1944 - January 1945. For the Attached Troops under Command, it looks like they lost quite a few ( in a very short period of time).

    Regards
    Stu.
