I would be pleased if any War-time Infantry Signallers would have a look at the section I have included in my War Memoirs about an Infantry Battalion Signals Platoon in www.lawlerbrown.com. I would value their comments about the equipment, training and their experience as I would like to make the record as complete as possible. Joe

Firstly, a hearty welcome to the site.

Sorry that I can't help you with your piece on wireless sets, I was always strictly a 19 set man in both my LAA and Armoured Corps roles.

Heartiest congrats on your super website and be assured, you are very welcome here :)

    Hi Joe,

Slightly off topic but I noticed on your website you mentioned that your three brothers were at Dunkirk-Do you happen to know what their units were?

    Regards
    Andy

    Dear Andy:

They were with the 51st Heavy Regiment Royal Artillery. They joined the BEF in 1939. Ironically, the Dunkirk was their port of disembarkation. They took part in the advance to the River Dyle in support of the Belgians. I am so glad they survived. We had an unforgettable New Year party on 1st January 1946!

    Regards,
    Joe
