Then and Now photos

I've come across a Russian/Ukranian Blog with lots of Then/Now shots.

Decided to give this particular thread a bump in the hope of seeing more of the same.

There's actually lots of these Then and Now threads on the forum but this is one of the few that doesn't mention any areas of combat.

I dont think Venice was on the Eastern Front .
This thread is in the Eastern Front area of the forum.

I was concentrating so much on finding a Then & Now that was not preceded by an area name that I failed to spot the fatal Eastern Front.

So now Mr.Moderator, Sir, Mate, kindly complete the process by shifting this to a non-Eastern Front area of the forum.

Over the years I have built up a few interesting 'then & now' shots. It's a real thrill finding locations where WWII has left a footprint. Here is a photo of the site of the airfield from Kholm (or Cholm) in Russia.
