A good document which I have, ex Steven.

George Begue was the first SOE agent to land by blind parachute, south east of Valencay. (fitting that the SOE Memorial is situated in Valencay.) Despite this the first occasion of the parachuting of arms did not ocur until October 1941 at an obscure rural crossroads near Villamblard, north east of Bergerac in the Dordogne.

Wayne have you asked permission from webmaster to upload document here?

If not I'd think it best to take it down and just link to the site for others to find; it is indeed an excellent document, one which I used myself for research but there is no proper source credit given in your post.

    The website clearly states:
Any total or even partial reproduction is prohibited. The use of any documents, pages, photographs and links is subordinated to written authorisation of the editor of the website. In the case of acceptance, the documents, pages, photographs and links used will imperatively have to mention their source with a link towards the site with following website address:

Your right Diane, I don't usually upload the doc's, not sure why I did this time. Doc removed, source cited, link remains.

I find it difficult to accept that a document given to a website in good faith can be claimed proprietorially by that site - as someone who had a fair amount of input of data into the list I find the action of le Plan Sussex a little sad.

    Hi Steven
Having myself posted a forwarded spreadsheet in the past and through ignorance not crediting the correct creator (which thankfully ended amicably due to latter's generosity), I can only say it's best to keep the forum in the right. For that reason alone I don't think there's any harm in getting into good habits of crediting source websites. I know I take great pains in giving credit where it's due on my site, so one would hope that this one does the same and forwards any resulting enquires.

Thanks as ever for your contributions, which you know are much appreciated by myself. ;)
