"A" & "B" Sqns, moved out early to support the D.L.I. and Tynes Scots in an attack on to Rauray. RHQ joining the battle HQ of the D.L.I. at the start line (a warm spot). The Infantry without support got on to the feature Brettevillette. The Regiment harboured for the night North of Fontenay-Le-Pesnel* near St.Nicholas farm.

    * Except St.Nicholas farm is SE of Fontenay-Le-Pesnel. The description - North of Rauray - might have been the intent.
