Outage - Apologies. (The Site Niggles Thread)

Site very very slow in fact I'm not sure if it will allow me to post this post, I've failed with all my other attempts

Clean all the cookies, temporal archives, defrag hard drive....Take too more time, but the results are the best.....In ocassions, ocurs that a CD/DVD forgot in his device and inuse, ralentize the navigation.

Is possible check your line with other computer?
Is a Wi-Fi or a Cable connection?
Your telephone line is aerial or subterranea?


The server that hosted the Forum seems is phisically in the USA, and I note periodically very slow periods of navigation.

Last night 2100 hrs CET 4.3.09 I was responding to a post and the computer would not accept the post and the site crashed on me. I tried logging on for about 20 minutes and then switched off.

Logged on today and no problems.

I'm loggin without proms, sometimes occurs slowdowns when I press Post button or I'm trying to see some attached pic.

Okay.

 

Is there a problem with this site? or is it me once again. I attempt to post a message and all I seem to get is 'page not available' or it is VERY slow and takes ages to load and logs off. I feel I will be lucky if this gets posted. It gets very frustrating.

If there is a problem then please keep the troops informed.

I believe it is the site once more. It took me ten minutes to send a PM an hour ago and I have just resumed to try again.

Hi Tom,

I'm pleased its not just me, I was thinking I was doing something wrong, but it seems not.

As I have said if there is a problem then it would be nice to be kept informed instead of members (me) thinking there is a problem with ones PC.

Peter,
After the last few weeks my simple proceedure is to log off and try another site.
This way I know that my computer is ok.

Lets hope that it is speedily corrected.
Not easy when servers are thousands of miles away, with time differences just to throw another spanner in the works.

Hi Tom,

I have no problem with other sites, they are up to speed. I have just defragmented my PC in the hope it will help, but this problem has been ongoing for some time now, about time it was fixed.

I'm sure Admin's working on it. I've been finding it slow to load up a lot lately too. Other sites are fine.

I think we're becoming too popular and the servers can't handle the URL requests.

 

I also had problems earlier, Peter, to the point I gave up. Seems ok now thou, if not a bit sluggish.

I had the same problem two days ago. All is fine now.
