Posting Orders of Battle to help those researching their relatives. Often folks don't know which battalion or Company their relative was in, but can remember an Officer's name. Match up the theatre and the timeline with the officer and it might be an indication as to where and with which unit they served. I stress "might" as officers were promoted, temporarily moved to other Coys/Platoons, and transferred more so than Other Ranks. My father can remember the names of at least 4 different Platoon officers during their campaign, not to mention those during training, so these are meant only as an indication. Some taken from The Scots Guards by Erskine and all lists have a nominal date given, but they also appear in, and are likely extracted from, War Diaries and official reports in the public domain. They are also handy to see how each battalion was organised.
