I.D. for markings on British vehicles in Normandy, Royal Engineers

Looks like the serial number on the Sherman was T-228782.

The Café Restaurant was owned by M. Laurents. I searched for old post cards and other info about this establishment, but nothing surfaced. I thought it was odd that the V-shaped telegraph pole lacked foot pegs which required the lineman to use a ladder. The vintage glass line insulators are collectors items; in some cases highly valued at auction.
