I found my grandfathers draft cards, is there anything that would indicate what regiment he was in. I know he was in Halifax in Dec of 1941 and was heading out after a family visit. And that he was part of an armoured group. His grave says BC Trooper.
Hi and welcome to the Forum. The only trace I can find of the above named is also the Draft Cards, posted on Ancestry and FMP, which you have attached. We have a Canadian member (Temujin) on here who may be able to help with searching the Canadian national defence records. Regards, Steve
Hi, As it’s a US generated document it is unlikely to link to any details of his subsequent service in Canadian forces. He was likely regularly moving across the 49th Parallel and enlisted into Canadian forces. I think you’ve been advised on your other topic to use the ATIP process to obtain records via LAC Ottawa. The same advice applies to this enquiry Steve
Hi, You may not be aware that OP created this topic recently. Several Canadian members have offered him advice. Canadian. Pte.H.J Cyr # SE5055 Steve
