    52nd Infantry Division
52nd Division was a Mountain Division with a different Order of Battle. It was held in Scotland in readiness for a planned invasion of Norway. This invasion did not in fact take place and the division was re organised and sent to 21 Army Group in October 1944. It still differed from ordinary divisions in that
    - it lacked some supporting units, which were provided from those already in the theatre
    - the Reconnaissance regiment was differently organised and equipped
    - it had a Mountain Battery RA
