Hi Drew - Ditto above re: mailbox. I'm really looking forward to getting the disk, and would love to get others. I don't know if they are available for any of the following engagements: (I'll get my uncle's record on paradata starting today) After Dunkirk, he served in No. 73 Independent Infantry Brigade as the RASC officer, 29.1.1941 - 28-4-1943, then posted to Commander RASC staff, 1st Airborne in Bulford. 12-5-1943 he went to BNAF and then to Italy, possibly with the 8th Army as part of Operation Baytown, returning to the UK 3-10-43 Then posted to the 6th Airborne, Airborne Supply Training Wing in Lemsford (?) as Chief Instructor. After jumps training he went to SEAC/India and then Syrencote House 10-3-45 to 29-3-45 he was in Brussels, possibly with Operation Varsity/Rhine Crossing with 6th Airborne. Thanks for the help, Barbara

Hi Drew, The war diary is a wonderful resource! Thank you. I found my uncle's name in it, which is a thrill. I've also been corresponding with the President of the Birmingham Dunkirk Veterans Fellowship who was in the same company as my uncle wanted a copy of the CD. I hope it's OK that I made one and sent it to him. He lost two close friends and several buddies when a truck he was in was bombed en route to Dunkirk. He hopes to find the names of the others who were in the truck to add them to a memorial, but I learned from the diary that all entries for the month of May, 1940 were destroyed in the field. He has given me a lot of information about what he experienced, and a very educated guess about what my uncle went through. When I put that together with what I've learned form this site, other sources, and the War Diary, I think I will have something at least close to a truth and I appreciate your help in making that possible. I made a donation to Heroes, but let me know if I should make a second one for the copy of the CD I just back across the Pond. Thanks! Barbara
Andy, Can you help with this: 4th Battalion Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry? Regards Pete

Great news and glad it was full of useful info. Only one donation required. The disc is now yours to do with as you please as far as I'm concerned. Ref the vets research, if he wants some help to try and identify the men let me know-If he's lucky a quick search on CWGC should be all it takes. Regards A
