Allies Second Front In Europe/France

    With hindsight and my limited understanding of military logistics, the eventual June 1944 date makes sense to me.
    If i were Joe Stalin, i would have been Impatient /Desperate for the Brits and USA to invade Europe as well.

    In the end, did he or his staff more or less accept that fact that it was a HUGE Task and that there was no way... without risking a catastrophic failure... it could have been attempted much sooner than it was.?

    Do you think The Russians appreciated the huge efforts in man-power and supplies, not to mention valuable aircraft, the Allies were Spending/Losing in the bombing campaign.?
    Germany would have had a lot more men, 88 guns and aircraft going East if the bombers ceased to exist.
    Before June 6 1944...........how much more could they have done.?
