Hi all, I'm researching for a model build the 28 NZ Assault Squadron in Italy at the end of the war. I've found some references as to potential markings but have hit a road block on the background colour of the AoS marking. My 2 NZ Division markings list says the 5 Field Park Co. from which the majority of the 28th was drawn had 59 on blue background and a pic I have of a fascine carrier has 59 over AS. All good so far then I hit the hurdle of the blue colour, the 2 AoS sheets I found have a totally different blue and the Institution of Royal Engineers has this blue on their website footer which I'm suspecting may be the correct blue. Can anybody shed so light on this for me
It's usually described as cobalt blue, and this is it from the contemporary standard: BS381C Cobalt Blue (115) Paint | Advanced Paints From there you may find some modern equivalents
