I am currently researching the following men;-

629064 Sergeant Hugh HANNAN, died 10/07/1940

972056 Leading Aircraftman Gordon Graham McROBERT, died 13/02/1945

1352703 Flight Sergeant Hamilton Finlay MAIRS, died 18/04/1945.

628668 Leading Aircraftman George Mackay MORE, died 26/12/1942

Can anyone tell me which Squadrons they were with when they died?

    Regards,

Thanks for the info on Hamilton Mairs, I hadn't notice the Squadron number.

RAFCommands Trained to colour between the lines.

Only a small number of personnel were on the strength of a Squadron - most were assigned to units other than Squadron.

eg Operational Training Unit for the two men in Owen's posts and Servicing Echelon for McRobert

    450213 - Unaccounted Airwoman & Airmen - 13-02-1945
