Hi Everyone I wrote to the Medical Casework department of the RAF concerning my father's hospitalisation during WW2. They wrote back saying they'd been in touch with the Service Personnel Veterans Archive (whatever that is) and said and I quote "They have now replied and have advised that although a War Pension file was created for this person, despite a search of all areas, the file cannot be traced. Therefore, I regret, we are unable to provide you with any further information. " The what is this in my title is what is a War Pension File? Were they raised for any trivial reason? What and where is the Service Personnel Veterens Archive? Can anybody suggest any other place I might be able to find information on his hospital admission? I am certain my father was not in receipt of a War Pension.
