A young lady asked why the North African Campaign was so tactically important as she felt the Sicilian Campaign was not so important as the Northern Campaign.....so I answered as well as I could..and waited for a reply....nothing happened so I searched - and searched some more and alas - the thread had disappeared- in less than hours - while some threads hang on for days on end - why is this Cheers
It was In the "general" folder, and not in either Italy or the Middle East/Africa ones - I found it by looking at your past posts, which is also my way of finding my own "old" ones (ie in my "old posts" section). I read your post this morning - always interested in your "take"... thanks
Richard Thanks for that - all we need now is for Tricia to get back and follow up- or perhaps she has enough information now Cheers
Richard Thank you - found it - tucked away in the General - good of her to understand how young we all were while we were making History..that is why it is so gauling to see it being bent out of shape so often by many so called Historians and others who wouldn't know a panzersturm from a panzerfaust - and would need clean underwear if one went off near them... Cheers
