The Worst Job in WW2?

    good day sapper.ww2 vet.25th feb,2013.10:22pm.#29.re:the worstjob in ww2.??.i never thought the atlantic or the pacific was the worst job.but thank you for a mention.i always thought the air force.and the army had the worst jobs.regards bernard85

    Being forced to take out the bodies from the gas chambers and remove their teeth. You did it to survive.

    I would say that one of the worst jobs in the army were done by the ones who had to clear up the battlefields after an action had taken place.

    However unsavoury the task, carrying those vivid memories for a lifetime may have even been worse!

    I often think of the Russians who had to shoot their own returning pows at Odessa after the war and there were an awful lot of them I'm led to believe . There were a lot of ordinary jobs during the war , I have no doubt . Having never been involved in the military I simply couldn't pretend to understand the horrors people had to deal with .
