Is anyone here familiar with the Sweetheart Radio?

I have one which has a Norwegian language data plate... unfortunately someone has adapted the headset plug/socket and wired the cable directly into the rear of the radio.

So, now looking for replacement plug/socket assy (though I suppose the mod could be original ww2)... so if anyone has any items related to this set which they are considering selling, please let me know.

In addition to the radio, battery case and headset, should there be anything else ?

    Cheers

That's the radio... will post a picture of the data plate and take up the kind offer for a translation.

    Cheers

Translation of instructions plate into English:
Antenna is connected to ā€œAā€. Earth is connected to ā€œEā€. The battery plug is connected to the battery box. The head set is inserted into your ear. The approximate wavelength of the desired station is adjusted with the left hand knob. The right hand knob is turned anti-clockwise as far as possible, thereafter slowly in the opposite direction until a distinct hiss is heard. Left hand knob is readjusted until a whistling tone is heard. Right hand knob is now slowly turned back to the point where the whistling tone disappears. Both knobs are now finely adjusted simultaneously for maximum volume.
ALWAYS REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE BATTERY BOX AFTER USE.

What a gem to own! Congratulations!

Many thanks for the translation... will print out a card and pop it into the box with the radio.

I believe about 5,000 of these radios were made for use in Norway, so there ought to be a few more of them about.

    Cheers
