Searching for George Harry Pilbrow Francis

Hi all

I wonder if someone has some expertise in finding army records? Hopefully they do looking at the posts.

I am looking for my grandfather's records George Harry Pilbrow Francis. He was born in Tottenham, Middlesed in 1915.

Family hand me down info would have me believe he was a desert rat (so the 7th Armoured Division?). Not sure if this is actually true or not though.

He had a wife who died in 1939, and again, as the story goes he married my grandmother when he demobbed. He married her in 1955. So it's my guess he would have served between these dates.
