    :)Hi All,
I am new to this and trying to find my way around.
I am looking for information on a Ronald John Thomas who was in the 61st signals regiment 1940-45
I have looked in the Forces service records without success. anyone have any photos of this regiment/company? He died in 2002 in Birmingham age 81.

Do you have a copy of his service records?

If you are 100% certain of his unit(s) you could view the units war diaries at the National Archives to learn more about his war.

    Hi Drew,
I don't have his service number :)and am trying to get more info from relatives.
The war diaries seem a good idea but I don't know which dates to look for apart from 1939-45!
    Regards
    Jim

In that case I would apply for a copy of his service records first to confirm his units. You don't need his service number to apply for a copy of his records if you know his date of birth.
