Does anyone know which battalions of the Royal Norfolk Regiment were stationed in Hessle during WW2 and were sent to France? I am looking for information about Sergeant Basil J Cooper, I do not know which battalion he was in. He fought and was injured in France, but he survived. I am trying to find details of his war record.

2 X Entries on Find my Past: 5773883 Sgt. B.J. Cooper, wounded 7/8/44 with 7th battalion. and again, wounded 15/11/44 with 1st battalion.May or may not be him but seems likely as, 7th battalion was disbanded after Normandy.
