Started this last night... worked about 5 or 6 hours now. I've got a ways to go, but I've really enjoyed this and I'm more pleased with it than I was with my B-17.

The T34 is lovely. Goes together nice, the vinyl tracks are the hardest biy. I did my one on German colours.

    How about white? or whitewash.

Haven't had much to do at all... spend big blocks of time on it the past 3 days.

    Thanks!

Tidy build PJNC! I'm just getting back into modelling. Remember building that kit when it was the Monogram kit. Lots of fun to do and looks the part when done.

Great work on the P-51 PJNC.

My models are in a wreck right now. Darn, the heat reaches up to 38.9 degrees C! Two models have no stands and the BF-109 is the only one with minor wrecks.

    looks nice.

Does it need s bit of filler there on the leading edge?

I like the correct positioning iof the wheel doors. looks smart. Transfers look lovely quality prints colours are strong. Well done.

Now tell us about the P51?? Tell us about this one, the real one that is!

Interestingly enough my grandfather gave me a book called "Flying Aces" earlier this year and looking through it yesterday I found that it features this exact airplane! Flown by commander of the 78th FG Col. J. D. Landers was built in Inglewood, CA in Jan. 1945. Flew in the 8th Air Force's 78th FG at AAF Station Duxford. The red and white checkerboard scheme is that of the 78th. Flying this plane between 22 February and 28 June 1945 Landers shot down at least 2 Bf 109's and a Me 262!

Landers was actually an ace with 14.5 claims - including 6 Japanese aircraft.

And a Mustang painted in the above colours was still flying (originally 44-85634)
