    Hello
My name is Sherri Munroe. My grandfather was also on the Nereus when it met its fate on Dec. 10 1941. He was a fifth engineer. I am trying to find out information on him and was hoping perhaps somebody on this site may have known him or of him.
Does anyone have pictures of the crew that was on the Nereus. My grandfathers name was Clarence Howard Munroe and he was 32 years old. Any information would be appreciated. RIP Clarence MUnroe and Francis Downey

Thank you everyone that responded. Most appreciated. The information will be useful in my journey in seeking information on my grandpa Clarence Howard Munroe. Does anyone know if the men who were on the Nereus that fatal day if the men would have been from Montreal? Or did they come in from the east coast. This is what makes it so hard for me in finding information on my grandpa is I don't know where he was from(born). The Munroe side of my family is a mystery, one I am bound to solve. Again thank you for all your help.

Going through the list that Drew provided, quite a few of them are from Quebec,
and some from Nova Scotia and Newfoundland as well.

Getting a copy of his service records might help you in your search.

    Hello
How do I go about getting my grandpa's service records? I'm not sure if he was from Montreal or Nova Scotia. My grandma was from Nova Scotia and went to visit him in Montreal often. Did they station alot of men from Nova Scotia in Montreal at that time. So curious, still I wonder who he really was? Thank you for any help you can provide and for your time.
