What is Frank's surname? I have just found four war letters from a Frank who was in this regiment. Trying to trace his family. :)

Ah different Frank. This one was Frank Garside. Trying desperately to find out more but there is very little online and paper archives obviously aren't accessible right now!

Hi my great grandfather Sydney Moffatt served in the Yorkshire Dragoons in ww2. He is buried at Knightsbridge Cemetery in Libya and he died of wounds on 17 November 1942, does anyone know how I can find any more details about his service ?

    James,

Always apply for his Service Record, that is the official record and only the MoD / Army Personnel centre have them. Details and more on a PM in a moment. Yes, there is a long wait for a reply from the MoD.

It would be best to start your own thread on your relative: Searching for Someone & Military Genealogy

If you can add his full name, date of birth, service number and anything else the sleuths here should be able to help. Plus, it is amazing when name / service number are added others find it via searching and join here.
