any thoughts on the other prominent figures. the one guy looks like roosevelt but he seems to be walking quite easily and as we all know... the officer with the shoulder braids has a slight resemblance to king george VI.
i have a few postcards from same era. need to scan and load. will have posted soon. thanks again to evryone for greetings and assist...
dxaanlere the officer with the shoulder braids has a slight resemblance to king george VI. Forget about that (from one who knows) but you can see Churchill's bodyguard, the tall chap in the homburg hat Ron
dxaanlere, Hello and welcome to the forum. Nostalgic photos and than you for sharing and the Moderators for reformatting. All I got after the download was the message "Invalid Image". Regards Tom

I have no idea whether this is a famous shot, but I've never seen it before. Churchill sitting on the remains of Hitler's armchair, July 1945:
Commander, Captain or Commodore Naval uniform according to cap braid. Doesn't look that much like the king, who in any case would have worn a uniform of an Admiral I would think. Looks like an American Naval Officer in company. Obviously a Naval theme to the visit. Regards Tom
