Mostly off topic (?) - public BBC sound effects online

    Hi all,

    Found out this morning that the BBC have launched a beta website containing thousands of recorded sound effects from their archives.

    This does include some sounds from WW2 - I listened to a Churchill tank driving and to a short RAF briefing on the bombing run in December 1940 to hit the Tirpitz. (Misspelled Tirpiz in the archive.)
