    Hi all,

    Do you use MS FSX?

If so, do any of you own Just Flight's add on of the Lockheed P-38 Lightning? Specifically, I am looking for information on one of the variants included, P-38 J "Curly Six". I am particularly interested to learn the identity of its pilot, unit, and bases.

    Thanks, and Merry Xmas.

    Adam.

    Many thanks indeed for that!

Curious as to how you identified the pilot. Do you have any more info on Jack Reed?

    Thanks

I only found 2 sources, one linking him with the plane.

One was a post on the armyairforces.com forum, asking for details on 367th planes Curly Six was one such plane - Pilot listed as JL Reed

DOH - just looking back, I made a cock up. It wasn't H5-Q I read the wrong line

    Updated original post with:
    Serial# - 44-2356_
    393 Squadron (367th FG)
    Fuselage Code - 8L-O
    Pilot - JL REED

The other source was just a listing of 367th flight personell listing a Jack L Reed

The last digit of the serial is missing, so this may or may not be the plane in question:

    Lockheed P-38J-25-LO Lightning
    23564 (367th FG) lost Aug 25, 1944. MACR 8032

This is the only serial starting with 2346 that I can find, so it's just as likely that the plane itself survived the war.
