Just been watching a film called Mała Moskwa, Little Moscow. Set on a huge Soviet base in Legnica , Poland in 1968. Anyone know anymore about the base, what's it like now? Anyone got the Google Earth co-ords for it?
There appears to be a large military facility right on the SE of old Liegnitz, at 51º11.713'N 16º1'.660'E , with a landing strip and all. Imaging in that sector is very bad, but there is even a Panoramio photo with a German Heer gate. To me this all looks like an ages old barracks used by a succession of armies, Liegnitz was a town in old Frederick the Great's Prussia and before.
