Hi I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what the islands are like for war relics/souviners? I'm Interested to see if I can pick up anything?

If you're after buying bits and pieces, there was a 'Big & Tall' menswear shop in St Helier, which has the most amazing selection of items for sale behind a curtain from Sturmgewehrs to Landmines & Nazi relics from the occupation, along with scattered 88 shells, medals etc. hidden among the large trousers.

Friendly chap who runs (ran?) the shop is associated with the Military Museum (think possibly a family affair & his Dad directed us to the shop from the museum... memory fades.).

And as an aside; the Military Museum beat the War Tunnels Hands-down for us despite being a fraction of the size - Just so full of 'stuff' - they also sold a few WW2 bits & piece from there.

    Edit:
With a bit of a Google, this may be the chap we spoke to.

But I'm not certain, and there are doubtless many other WW2 collectors on the Island.
