Indian Army Officer records

Just a quickie... would the MoD historical records hold the service records of an Indian Army Officer or are they deposited elsewhere? The officer in question served from the1920’s until being killed in 1944.

There are Indian versions of the Officers Army Lists, which can be downloaded (beware: some are BIG Downloads!!!)

I have successfully obtained a Gurkha officer's records from the British Library, although the process was a little prolonged in the first instance. Excellent service thereafter. Initial contact was by letter, with proof of death via CWGC on line information.
