Sure, we want to go home. We want this war over with. The quickest way to get it over with is to go get the bastards who started it. The quicker they are whipped, the quicker we can go home. The shortest way home is through Berlin and Tokyo. And when we get to Berlin, I am personally going to shoot that paper hanging son-of-a-bitch Hitler. Just like I'd shoot a snake!" General George S. Patton.... Hi guys i know a few famous quotes and i wanted to know if u guys can post some up here. Thanks
"The mission of this Allied Force was fulfilled at 0241, local time, May 7, 1945. Eisenhower." -- Ike reporting the surrender of Germany to the Combined Chiefs of Staff, 60 years and two days ago.

You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of liberty loving people everywhere march with you. "One day President Roosevelt told me that he was asking publicly for suggestions about what the war should be called. I said at once 'The Unnecessary War'." - Sir Winston Churchill
Churchill has a few of my favourites... "When you have to kill a man, it costs nothing to be polite. Not WW2, but a real favorite of mine: "And now with my latest writing and utterance, and with what will be near my latest breath, I here repeat and would willingly proclaim my unmitigated hatred to yankee rule—to all political, social and business connections with Yankees, and the perfidious, malignant and vile Yankee race." —Edmund Ruffin, 17 June 1865 (right before taking his own life) So good I used if for my avitar. "I'd rather have the German army ahead of me than the French army behind me". Patton I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. -Albert Einstein One of the earliest books I recall reading as a child was the Battle of Britain: Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few. - Winston Churchill, about R.A.F fighter pilots. My Luftwaffe is invincible...And so now we turn to England. How long will this one last - two, three weeks? Hermann Goring - June 1940
No, you are right on! Was present and fired on Fort Sumpter at the beginning of the war, wrapped himself in the flag and killed himself at the end. There are still some of those sentiments here in the South-not as extreme, but still there.

Here's a couple of classics! Above all, I shall see to it that the enemy will not be able to drop any bombs. — Hermann Goering, German Air Force Minister. German original: "Vor allem werde ich dafur sorgen, dass der Feind keint Bomben werfen Kann." No enemy bomber can reach the Ruhr. If one reaches the Ruhr, my name is not Goering. You may call me Meyer. — Herman Goering, German Air Force Minister, addressing the German Air force, September 1939.
Our Company had one Motto, that was often repeated...and got us in trouble! it was "BASH ON" and that is just what we did. Though sometimes referred to as "Those bloody Sappers" Because we bashed on away in the lead. Only to be told to "HALT and let the infantry deal" So "Bash on" was short. but we contributed to that motto. Sapper
This one is quite interesting: The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps! ~ Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States, 1945 Wonder what kind of detailed research she used to come up with that statement?
After Roosevelt was misdiagnosed with the flu he wrote to Churchill, "I feel like an Italian soldier looks."
