Hi all, upon looking for the Escape from Colditz board game, I came across some differences in the box design(see examples below) does anyone know ?
Ah, my brother and I got a second-hand copy of this game at a jumble sale about 15 or so years ago; played it a couple of times when we were kids. I think the box cover matched the one on the right. Quite good fun, as I recall, and lots of good props. Richard
To all owners of 'Escape from Colditz', How often did you actually finish a game? I just remember it being nearly impossible for the escapers; hours of careful planning constantly killed by an appel.
I had that game , second hand from a jumble sale with a few bits missing, didn't play it much. I've just found these pewter figures whilst looking for something else. Escape from Colditz and WW2 Playing Pieces – WargamesFoundry They do look rather nice.
I had that game, but do not recall those figures, I thought they were more plain pieces. Looking at the price, I wish I had kept the game....
The playing pieces in the game looked like coloured skittles. These pewter figures are produced by another company. Edit. UK - Escape from Colditz board game from the 1970s. Orange, red and black playing pieces Stock Photo - Alamy
