Could you post a photo of the citation here?
Not sure how to because it hasn't got a URL. Is there a way for me to upload it direct from my computer?
Click post new, then click on the paper clip icon and a box opens up which says browse. Locate file on your computer then click upload. When uopload is complete click submit reply.
Hope this works and is a reasonable scan.
The scan is good, thanks for posting.

Fascinating- thank you so much for pointing it out.
This is the start of 53 Recce Decorations & Awards
This is the start of 56 Recce Decorations & Awards
These 2 posts are also now rebuilt
Thank you for posting this as it is the first time I have seen this information on my father's war service. Could you advise me how I can print it off please?
click on link below & the citation should open in a new tab.
Right click image & 'Save as' to your computer then print off.
Here are the Routine Orders mentioning the MC and a Commendation Card For Lt JE Rogerson.
Hi Paul, Thanks for the lists.
I printed out the 46th Recce list for my Dad to look at, to see if it prompted any memories.
He definitely remembered:
Sgt. A. K. McLean, DCM
Tpr. W. Wood, MM
What is the best way for me to find out more about these people? We would particularly like to know when and why Sgt. McLean was awarded this medal, as it might help with clarifying my Dad's movements.
Diane the information you seek is with the certificates I posted earlier in this thread.
I apologise Paul! I did start looking through the posts, I thought they were all 1st Airbourne, doh.
Dougie Waugh thinks Peter Herbert Mason - post #271 - was commander of 46th Recce B squadron at some point. There is no thumbnail for this post. Is it available?
Diane when I posted the citations originally I posted them in numerical order for the Recce Regts. Thanks for pointing out the missing citation for Mason, I must have missed replacing him when I rebuilt the post when the forum changed over causing lots of posts to have either no pics or the wrong pics. The citation is now in place.
