Home Forces GOC's included Edmund Ironside (May-July 1940), Alan Brooke (July 1940-December 1941) and Bernard Paget (December 1941-January 1944). Walter Kirke might have preceded Ironside, but I don't know who followed Paget.
TTH Thank you for the information - I have just found the next C-in-C LONDON, January 6 1944 Gen. Sir Harold E. Franklyn has been appointed Commander-in-chief, Home Forces, in succession to Gen. Sir Bernard Paget. who was recently appointed C-ln-C. Middle East. Gen. Franklyn has been commanding troops in Northern Ireland since May. 1941. His task was to train a large part of the field army for eventual service overseas. Born in November, 1885. Franklyn served in the last war almost continuously. He was wounded six times and mentioned in dispatches
