    Thank you,Dad was a Chindit [KIA 1944] So joined the society Didnt know him as i was young and trying to find out as much as i can.Setap.

    Hi , I too joined the society, my Dad was a Chindit. He did return home, hoewever, like most of the men he never spoke about his war. I have spent a great deal of time researching ( years!!) and I still can't read a map. What regiment was your Dad with? Steve (Bamboo 43) has a wonderful site for Operation Longcloth 1943. Have you applied for your Dad's service records from Glasgow?Worth every penny of the £ 30 cost. Regards, Veronica.

    Welcome to forum. If you would like to tell us more about your Dad, we might be able to point you in the right direction in terms of reading material. Was your father with the King's Own Royal Regiment in 1944?
