Doess anybody have any info on the 77th L.A.A Reg Royal Artillary Indian/burma and was it attached to the chindits. Family rumour Has my grandad serving with them (two uncles) Does anybody know what CTBA to 13 AA Bde means I know the AA part not the CTBA. I just received my grandads service record and I`m trying to decipher it and make sense of it. Thanks coastie
I`ve uploaded the records to my photobucket Album here coastguard23 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting or you Can see a better view of them here on rootschat Grandads Army record Decipher Thanks Coastie
Found one internet reference to CTBA meaning 'ceased to be attached',?? apparently still in use in RAF parlance: "if you are detached from your Unit and attached to another Station for a training course etc, the day you finish the course and return to your Unit You are 'Ceased To Be Attached' to the training Unit."
I run a chindit website and attend the chindit reunion every october I dont know everything but if I can help at all please ask me.
