Service Numbers for the ATS appear to follow the format: W/xxxxxx. Where 'W' stands for 'Woman'.

However, I've just seen one in the format: W/CS/xxxxxx.

Does anyone have any idea what the 'CS' stands for ?
This lady was from the West Indies, so is that relevant ?

Thanks - I thought it must be something like that.

    But I'm confused why CS.
Caribbean Subject ? Colonial Subject ?
And I also notice NS and NC in the CWG list you provided.

So I suspect that this is more complex than it seems.
