    Hi,

I am searching info or the war diary for the 49th Garrison Regiment, Royal Artillery for december 1944.

At Schoonselhof Cemetery, 6 of its members are buried there, all died on 26 December 1944. I think that they were all killed when a V1- Flying bomb hit their quarters at the Boys School at Hemiksem (Hemixem), as there were several (sources say 8) British soldiers killed and buried at Schoonselhof on this day.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The only reference that I can find immediately is: 49 (The West Yorkshire Regiment) Garrison Regiment RA - The Royal Artillery 1939-45
If I can find out more I will come back.
There are others who might be able to help coming along later who specialise in North West Europe.
Not my theatre of operations I'm afraid.
At least this reply will put you further back up the list where you might be seen more easily.
    Good Luck
