Thanks Diane. Gdsn Thomson is initially shown on the official casualty list as missing in action 18th May 1940 - one of about 70 1st SG (from Left & Right Flank Companies) missing after the rearguard action against German forces in the vicinity of Stien on the Dals river. CWGC burial records shows he was Killed In Action but more likely Died of Wounds whilst a Prisoner of War. His original place of burial is shown as Zappeter Bridge on the CWGC grave concentration form but I can’t find any trace of that place on the internet. Steve
