Hi all, Spending a some time in the hotal lobby before going to the airport, I though I wouild post a quck note on the convention. Of the many highlights, the two best were exploring Auburn's Victory Museum and meeting Wolfgang Kloth who served in Panzers on the Eastern Front. The Museum's collection of vehicles is spectaculer - photographs were taken of me in front of a Greyhound - I will collect and post the many photos after my retrun home. Meeting Wolfgang was a joy - two old enemies with arms around each other were photographed by or so many chaps. Here followsa bried note on his history: Cheers, Gerry
Great stuff Gerry, looking forward to the photos very much. I like the note about 'the oft-misunderstood Churchill Infantry Tank' in your biog, 'hear hear'. Cheers, (and hope you have a nice flight home). Adam.
Answering the request for photographs made some while ago. See: http://northirishhorse.net/AMPS/2008/Page-1.html. Cheers, Gerry
Having introduced myself to a fellow veteran, we stood posing for many photographs with arms around each other. For one time enemies, now new friends, it was a very moving experience. (Bold type added by me.) Excellent picture Gerry.
Some of those large dioramas are pretty full on. And as for the picture above... Great stuff. Cheers, Adam.
