    Zhukov--As cruel as Stalin

well, for a starters - how come Stalin was, all of the sudden, ''cruel'' ?
Roosevelt / Churchill didn't seem to think so at the moment they shook hands with him...

Thank you Tom it's working now, and this information is really interesting.
But sacrificing the troops wasn't exactly Zhukov idea, he was undoubtedly one of the best commanders in the war.

I can see that. If half of what he says of Zhukov, maybe they has reason to?

Don't get me wrong, here. I'm still thinking that Bulgaria isn't really so much a part of Russia but more of a country that was once part of the USSR>

and yet, not so strange the situation it was as it may seem these days.
had someone put Roosevelt or Churchill in Stalin's position in then Russia -
they would have acted exactly the same way as he did, imo.

    Oh really?

I don't think you'd seen an Iron Curtain.

    Hungary in 1956.

    Czechoslovakia in 1968.

    THE COLD WAR.

God man, are you really THAT clueless?

Your entitled to your own opinion T34 but Churchill's popularity changed quite a bit in his long career and I dont think he ever restorted to ice picking his (long) ex rivals or starving (intentionallly or uninttintionally) 30 million people to death. Stop your nonsense, Stalin was monster.

Both FJR and Churchill knew it, what did Churchill say after Terhan, about being forced to supp with the Devil? Churchill knew exactly what was going in even if the Yanks where a little naive, but then FJR was such suhch a good politican he wasnt going to let his conscience get in the way.

    hold on there.
a mere assertion like this needs to be supported with documents.

if - yes, then don't delay with that plz.

let us, gentlemen, not pretend that the national leaders like Saddam, Hitler, Mao, Churchill, Stalin or Roosevelt can differ from each other.
