    Found this.

Death Yves Loichot Yves was hit in his head by the Landwachter [meaning a Dutch collaborator) Santing.
Location: Dekkersweg in the neigbourhoud Punthorst.
Cause: An attempt to arrest the Santing family april 8 1945.
father santing was not a member of the NSB (a Dutch NAZI friendly party)
Yves died along with his comrade J.C.de Roos as a member of the resistance.
The first one who was shooting April 8 1945 was de Roos not the Santing family.
Jacob Santing was hit but not heavy wounded.
His brother rans upstairs shooting Yves and de Roos throug the attic window.
There was one surviving witness mr Arie Ploeger. He survived the ambush.
It was terrible for Raoul, the twin brother of Yves to found his brother killed by a Dutch Landwachter.

I have a little to add to this topic:

The helmet worn by Yves Loichot on Operation Amherst was found and brought to Canada at the end of the war by a soldier who had been assigned to duties in Holland in 1945. Some years later, the helmet was turned in by the veteran to his Regimental Museum. Eventually the museum deaccessioned the helmet from its collection (with the written consent of the donor/veteran who was still alive at the time) in order to obtain another important item specifically relevant to the museum's collection.

Here are some photographs of the helmet:

As this is a very interesting story and I am interested to learn as much as possible about Yves Loichot and Operation Amherst.

    Regards.
