    Ask an auctioneer for an estimate, but one that likes doing militaria

    His service record would potentially tell you where the box has been

    this is same camp mentioned earlier just 1 digit out when they got released I wonder if he was in the video.

    Sell it with (yet to be added such as Service Records provenance) but recognise that 'when it's gone it's gone and can never come back' bearing in mind it has some of your own history tied up in it. Easy decision or difficult decision?....I haven't a clue as we are all different.

    Find a use in your Man Cave (the above or below comments still apply in the future)

    Locate living relatives and offer it to them - you never know, there might be an interesting back story.

    Take it to a local antiques roadshow
    After 15 minutes of discussion with the antiques expert followed by a few emotional tears they will tell you it is worth £10 to £20 and tell you well its about the value not the worth of it

    As i said before use it as your “oh that will be useful at some time in the future” box
